Judy is a ceramic artist concerned with the cross fertilisation of fine art and ceramics, much of her work deals with the issues of memory and how we record and archive our experiences. She attempts to explore how trace and memories enable us to make sense of our current world as well connecting us to the past. She am very interested in the concepts of marks and mark making , physical and  metaphorical left by experience and human encounter. Drawings/marks are made to record that moment, often  using the ephemeral , small objects or shadows as a metaphor for a moment past. The concept of time and history  is considered through layering or repetition of objects while the encouraged interaction and use of text explore the idea of objects 'drawing' out remembrance.
